April's BarkBox

Happy Thursday!

I received my very FIRST BarkBox today. Needless to say, I am EXCITED. ^-^ I decided to give it a try because I saw a promotion on Facebook for $10 off. The box size I ordered was a 0-20 lb at $19/month for 6 months. It was an okay deal, but I don't mind spending a little more for my baby.

So...I looked at many reviews for BarkBox before deciding that I wanted to subscribe myself. Most of the reviews I looked at were positive and from the looks of it, there is a good variety of goodies in each box! I will number each time, provide the product name and link to their page, price it, and provide an alternative link to purchase it. Let's dive in!

1-Safemade Gimme Gummy // $6.49 - $10.14 (on Amazon)

The Gimme Gummy is a silicone toy in the shape of a bear. It reminds me of gummy bears! It's a red/orange color and kind of chunky. I was worried my puppy would not be able to play with it, but he picked it up with ease. Haha. There is a hole on the underside for you to insert treats. This guy kept my puppy occupied for a whiiiile. He had so much fun trying to figure out how to get to the treat! I like it more than my small Kong toy because you can hide a little more inside. You can purchase it directly from their website! It also looks pretty durable, but I will have to let time tell!

2-American Dog Toys Fetch & Glow jr. // $15.22 (on Amazon)

The fetch toys are like any typical ball--they bounce. But, they are supposed to glow in the dark! I have not tested it out yet. My puppy has trouble grasping the ball because he is much to small for them even though they are small sized. But he does enjoy rolling it around and pawing at them. You cannot purchase them on their website, but I found a link on Amazon. Great quality.

3-Etta Says! Duck Jerky // $9.49 - $12.89 (on Amazon)

First off....what the duck! Sorry...I could not help it. Haha. I did not realize there was such thing as duck jerky until today. It does not have too much of a flavored dog treat king of smell. It kind of reminds me of dry food. I was expecting roast duck or something to that degree. My puppy LOVED it. He was begging for more, so I stuffed a couple more pieces in the Gimme Gummy. I do not think you can purchase it on their site, but I did find it on Amazon. It's an 8 oz bag. The crude fat content is 7% (I their site says differently). I think my puppy will be eating this for a while!

4-Etta Says! 7 inch Crunchy Duck Chews // $33.47 for 36-count box with 4 inch chews (on Amazon)

This came as a single product, so I am assuming it's a sample product. My puppy has yet to try it, but I am sure he will LOVE it. It is also duck flavored. I am not sure how much it retails for...I cannot find it online, but I will take a guess that it would be around $1.50 - $2. Also, I do not think you can purchase it on their site, but it is on Amazon!

5-ABO Gear GroomMitt // $6.99

The GroomMitt sounds like cleansing towelettes from the pet store, but on a larger scale. It is MUCH too big for my puppy. I will probably have to cut it into parts, which defeats the purpose of it being a mitt for your hand for ease of use. I wish they gave me a smaller size, but I will definitely try the product on my Brazilian Mastiff. Unfortunately, I could not find it on another site.

6-LICKS Liquid Vitamin // $28.99 - $36.00 for 30-day supply (on Amazon)

The last product in the box is LICKS. It has a roast chicken flavor that you can smell. My puppy LOVED it. I squeezed it into his dry food and placed it next to his wet food to see which he would choose. He gobbled up his dry food right away! This is a miracle product for fussy puppies. I wish I knew of it sooner...oh those sleepless nights. Boxes come with 15 packs for 30 days. I am estimating that each pack retails for around $2. Not only is it yummy, it is also good for his joint and heart. They sell the product on their site, but it is a little more expensive than Amazon. I think I will be looking into trying other products from them soon!

April's BarkBox Total: ~$44.00

I cannot wait for my next box! Five more months to go. Also, if you are now interested in subscribing, please CLICK HERE!
